With a strong background in blockchain technology and a passion for driving innovation, Sonny has been instrumental in turning ideas into reality within the venture capital landscape.
In addition to his role at XinFin Powering XDC Network, Sonny is a Partner at Leo Ventures, a cutting-edge Venture Capital Fund based in Singapore. At Leo Ventures, Sonny is dedicated to investing in early-stage Web2 and Web3 projects, particularly in deep tech, fintech, and blockchain sectors. His mission is to catalyze innovation and nurture groundbreaking concepts, transforming them into tangible products and services that drive the future of technology.
Having recently embarked on his journey at XinFin Powering XDC Network, Sonny has already made a significant impact within the ecosystem by fostering partnerships with accelerators and venture capitalists. His primary focus is on promoting the development and adoption of decentralized applications (DApps) on the XDC network, positioning it as a hub of innovation and creativity in the blockchain industry.
With a Master’s Degree in Business Computing from the University of Westminster, where he excelled with a Grade: A, Sonny brings a blend of technical expertise and business acumen to his roles. He is also a Lean Six Sigma – Yellow Belt certified professional, showcasing his commitment to efficient problem-solving and process improvement.
Prior to his current roles, Sonny served as the Vice President APAC at OfficialNordek, a blockchain ecosystem aiming for the mainstream adoption of web3 payments. He has also been actively involved in the Singapore FinTech Association (SFA) as a Corporate Member, contributing to the growth and development of the fintech industry in Singapore.
In his spare time, Sonny enjoys mentoring and guiding dApps to scale and fundraise through his role as a Mentor at Tenity. His dedication to driving technological advancement and fostering innovation is evident in his various roles and contributions within the blockchain and venture capital space.
